Checklist: Before You Publish

• Are you editing within a Project?
  • Did you double check your working items were associated with the correct project? See: Adding previous versions of content to projects.
• If not, be aware that publishing is instantaneous. Content items begin indexing for search engines immediately after.
• If so, do you have a full understanding of the What is a Project feature?
• Did you use Comments?
• Are you the owner of the content?
• If not, did you do a thorough search in Optimizely before creating anew?
• If so, did you double check to see if the content is already a shared resource?
• Did you name the page well?
• Full understanding of Optimizely Page Defaults & What is a School Page or What is an Office Page
• Did you add an image to the Metadata Thumbnail property?
• See:  shared resource for usable image assets
• Did you organize correctly?
• If you created new pages, blocks or media (files & images) did you create them in their correct area (navigation pane for pages and blocks/docs/images in their correct asset pane folder)
• If images were added to blocks, was the correct image size used?
• Did you name your documents & blocks correctly when creating content?
• Are your pages formatted correctly?
• Headings should follow an outline structure. Heading Hierarchy 
• For popular links that are not a part of the Optimizely website, did you Create a Supportive Page?
• Did you avoid the Common Mistakes?
• Use any Best Practice?
